What Function do the Skin, Lungs and Liver Have in the Excretory Process?
Lungs: act as organ of excretion by removing Carbon Dioxide from the body and any other gases.
Skin: acts as an organ of excretion by removing water and small amounts of urea and salts as sweat.
Liver: removes ammonia and converts it into the less toxic urea. It also chemically changes and filters out certain drugs. These substances are picked up by the blood, transported to the kidneys, and then excreted.
